UCD’s Creative Futures Academy announces an exciting opportunity for artists working in dance through the generous support of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council’s Arts Office. The residency is aimed at supporting a dance artist (working in any style) in need of studio space and with an interest in connecting with UCD’s Creative Futures Academy to test and develop concepts and materials towards the creation of new work.
It provides an artist’s fee of €15,000, inclusive of time, materials, equipment, solo use of the new Black Box space in UCD’s Newman Building for a consecutive period, and access to audio/visual facilities, the library and other university resources in addition to solo use of the Studio, dlr LexIcon, Dún Laoghaire for three consecutive days in July or August as a development, rehearsal or testing space, or showcase of work in progress.
Applications are made through an open call process and will be assessed by members of UCD’s CFA, dlr arts office, and a dance scholar or artist.
