Each institution offers courses in their area of expertise.
NCAD continues to ‘change our world through bold and curious thinking, making and doing’. New postgraduate offers focus on sustainable creative practices and include MA’s in Design for the Circular Economy and Collaborative Art Practices. Enhanced BA degrees will feature CFA electives and internships. A wide range of short courses spanning creative diversity and leadership, design, ecology, health, new platforms for artists and more will be rolled out over the coming year.
IADT offers state of the art facilities and new opportunities through short courses in film production, radio and podcast production, character design for film, immersive sound design and more. Three new MA pathways in Design for Change, Ecological Design, and Design Futures are in development and are set to launch in September 2023 as well as a brand new MA in Creative Practice with pathways in Technical and Spectacle Arts, Virtual Production and Immersive Technologies.
UCD’s flagship BA Humanities in Creative & Cultural Industries, and the MA in Writing for Stage & Screen have a strong industry focus. CFA Artists-in-Residence share their experience of working in the creative sector as well as their expert knowledge. From 2023, UCD will develop new offerings in accredited short courses, including courses in Arts & Events programming, Short Film, Songwriting and Music production. Working together as Creative Futures Academy, NCAD, IADT and UCD offer an inspiring and evolving range of courses to suit all learning needs.
A CFA scholarship encourages the participation of learners from sections of society that are significantly under-represented in higher education by offering one free place on all of our CFA short courses.
